Charon Malphus, who seems to be working with Julian Keye of Coin and Keye, a legal firm in Las Vegas, is the person you saw in that dream.* \[JONNY\] *Interesting.* \[KRIS\] *He is smoking the Crown Midas brand of cigars from Hoardheim, which is the Greed circle. It has notes of serpent cocoa from the Envy jungles, but is mostly sold and smoked by Greed devils.* *His suit seems to be like a faux Italian suit that was made in Wrath or Greed. Charon Malphus is Solomon's father, which you now realize, he and Shiv Malphus seem to have emerged in Las Vegas around the time that Solomon was removed from his position, and they seem to be working against Solomon.* \[JONNY\] *Do I know anything about how, if the baby's soul previously belonged to Solomon and has now been returned to Eden, why there might still be this face situation that somehow involves Solomon's former firm?* \[KRIS\] *Let's see. Solomon was the owner of the baby since it was born, and then ownership was moved back to the baby.* *I think you learn about Solomon's fall from grace a little bit. It seems like Sol was embezzling souls in Vegas, including this potential baby soul, and then his father found out about it, ratted it out to his boss, Solomon ran away, and now it seems like Charon and Shiv are working with Julian Keye more directly.* *Out of that, you realize that maybe there are some contracts that now Coin and Keye get to claim as their legal right. Now that Solomon has kind of disappeared and been disbarred and all that, there's a lot of different souls that Solomon did own that are now being shuffled around, and maybe this baby has been either maliciously taken under Coin and Keye, or accidentally been misfiled.* *The soul still belongs to the baby and Eden, but— you research some stuff, and there are some contracts about when devils are fighting over power for a soul, or searching for a soul, there are other things you can take besides the body or the soul.* *You can take identities, you can take names, you can take time. These are other more esoteric things that are bought and sold and traded in the convoluted schemes of how humans are trafficked by devils. You're not sure if this is malicious or accidental yet.* *But you know Charon Malphus is somehow involved.* \[JONNY\] *Interesting.* \[KRIS\] *And you get a \+1 on utilizing this information that Charon is involved, that Coin and Keye is grabbing at anything Solomon has left behind or has claimed, but Coin and Keye seems to have some powerful magic on its side that is letting them start reaching into faraway contracts and souls and things.* *So that could be a worry for other things that Sol once worked with or owned, such as Emil’s soul, or even Leslie from working for Sol.* *So that's a little worrying, I think, for you, Jonny. It seems like they might have some sort of claim that Leslie should still be working for them and tied to Duke Julian instead of Sol or instead of you.* *So there's just a lot of potential problems that you're seeing with this very power-hungry Coin and Keye— that you have also brought into Marlowe\!* *Do you want to bring that information to Sol, or is that it for you?* \[JONNY\] *I do want to talk to Sol. Do you think I can track down that— is there any way to get that cigar on Earth? Or if not, if I can just do a visual replica with a normal cigar?* \[KRIS\] *You know that you could probably go to the War Kings and talk to Skittlez, who's a drug dealer in the War Kings. They probably could get it for you. Do you want that cigar to show to Solomon?* \[JONNY\] *Yeah, I think it makes a fun scene.* \[KRIS\] *Yeah, I'll say you can get it with that 10\. Skittlez has access to just a couple rare cigars, and you can probably buy it off them for a few hundred bucks.* \[JONNY\] *Yeah, good money investment.* \[KRIS\] *You got a bonus from Egelon, you can buy a cigar.* \[JONNY\] *Okay, so I'm going to go up to Solomon some slower part of a workday, or during a break or something. And I'm going to ask Solomon if he wants to go for a smoke break.* \[KRIS\] *Oh, God.* \[SOLOMON\] *He's going to look at Jonny strangely, but he will eventually say with a smile:* Sure. Let's go out. \[JONNY\] *Yeah, we go out, and I light a cigarette for myself. But before you take out yours, I'm going to go like,* I think I have something you might appreciate a little more. *And I'm going to hand you the cigar. And I'm going to see if you show any signs of recognition.* \[KRIS\] *Sol, this is the exact brand your dad smokes. And I don't think it's a brand you like in particular. It's an old man kind of cigar. So I think you can get what Jonny's hinting at.* \[JONNY\] *I'm going to watch him intently for his reaction. Does this seem familiar to Solomon? Do I see any signs of recognition or any emotional response?* \[SOLOMON\] *I think Sol is definitely like grimacing at that, like ‘Eugh, I don't really like that.’ He goes like:* Where did you— where did you get that from? …it’s not my style anyways. But thanks for the offer. \[JONNY\] I saw it in a vision. \[SOLOMON\] …Okay? \[JONNY\] The vision's related to Miles. Eden's baby. I saw someone smoking this. Do you know who it might be? \[SOLOMON\] I don't know. It's a popular cigar in Greed. \[JONNY\] And that's all? \[SOLOMON\] Alot of people smoke it. …What are you getting at? \[JONNY\] So you— you gave Eden the baby’s soul back. Why'd you do it? I thought that you were in the business of collecting souls and hoarding assets. \[SOLOMON\] *Sol did not know that Jonny knew about this. So Sol's like,* Ah, I see Eden's keeping you in the loop now…. Yes, I did\! I decided I needed to rebalance my portfolio a bit, so it has been given back with no strings. \[JONNY\] Just out of the goodness of your heart? Midlife crisis? Win her favor back maybe? \[SOLOMON\] …sure. \[JONNY\] Sure? \[SOLOMON\] I mean, I thought this is what you and Eden would want. Why are we looking gift horses in the mouth? \[JONNY\] It seemed a little out of character and— you know, she still can't see the baby's face. I still can't see the baby's face, even though the baby’s soul is back. \[SOLOMON\] That's separate from me. I don't know about this. \[JONNY\] You don't know about this, and you don't know who it might be in that vision smoking this cigar. \[SOLOMON\] ….look, I have \*no\* context for what you mean by your vision and your dreams, Johnny. \[JONNY\] I was checking on the baby to make sure that, you know, you were telling the truth when you told Eden that the baby's soul is now its own. Which does seem to be the case with regards to the soul, but the baby's face is still gone. And then, I saw this vision of a man in a suit in front of a desk smoking this cigar. \[KRIS\] *Jonny, if you want, there might be a way for you to show Sol the vision.* \[JONNY\] *How?* \[KRIS\] *I think you could figure out some magic to do it.* \[JONNY\] *Which— what gay little gesture do I need to do?* \[KRIS\] *You could light the cigar and it appears in the smoke. Some shifty vision of Charon sitting at a desk in Coin and Keye or in your old law firm.* *It seems like they've refurbished it. He's sitting, smoking a cigar, flipping a coin. He's in Vegas.* *He looks right at you Sol, as this vision appears.* \[SOLOMON\] *I think he scowls and waves his hand through the smoke to make it disappear. He's like,* Yeah, whatever. I— yes, I know him. \[JONNY\] And? \[SOLOMON\] So you're saying that the devil who has Miles's face now, is that one? Yes, I know him. I have no idea how he would have gotten a hold of it, because I didn't work with him in the time that I helped Eden out. Or any time at all. \[JONNY\] And this is your past office? \[SOLOMON\] Yeah, this is my office. \[JONNY\] And if for whatever reason, this guy was now occupying your office, would he by some devilish mumbo-jumbo end up with the baby's face? \[SOLOMON\] Jonny, I'm going to be completely honest. I have \*no\* clue how taking someone's face could have been involved in this, at least from my perspective. I mean, I owned my law firm, but it was part of a larger parent company, which the man you saw now works for. I did see that the parent company I used to work for does seem to have some sort of claim over the souls I had in my portfolio, even when I do everything in my power to give them back or, or transact them as I wish. So something similar may be occurring here. Although it's unusual even to me and this firm that they would take a baby's face. \[JONNY\] You think they would do so deliberately or accidentally? \[SOLOMON\] ….nothing's accidental about this man. He is all deliberate. *Sol’s trying not to go into his whole family history with someone he's not super close with, but now that he's realizing that his family and dad is involved, he’s like sitting on the curb, and he's got like, his head in his hands.* \[JONNY\] Do you have any interest at all in— since you so generously gave the baby's soul back, any interest at all in figuring out maybe how to get the face back as well? \[SOLOMON\] *He thinks about this. He's frowning at first, but then I think— if there's remnants of the smoke still there, he stares at it and finally he's like:* …you know what? Yeah. Let's take it from him. Yeah, I'll help you out here. \[JONNY\] Um, I— you— you might want to change your locks. Or maybe look into— you know, you got a new bonus. Maybe you can get a little bit of a nicer place. \[SOLOMON\] Um, okay…. You mean my house?? \[JONNY\] Yeah, yeah, your house. Uh, just to make sure they're not coming for you in some way. I saw that in a vision. \[KRIS\] *And I think we'll end that there.* \[JONNY\] *I think he’s just walking away\!* \[KRIS\] *Sol’s just gonna be so confused with the range of Jonny's vision. It's like, you saw my house needing new locks? And you saw my dad? Why are you dreaming about me so much?* \[SOLOMON\] *Why are you dreaming about my dad?* \[KRIS\] Anything else, Jonny, that you need to clarify from this downtime? \[JONNY\] *I guess with all of that information, I would probably also text Eden with— I guess there's several points.* *One is a warning about the gala, like:* I don't know if you will be going, but just warning that this is affiliated with Morax, which is like a devil gang. And there might be scary shit happening. I don't know. I wasn't invited. *Um, and also saying:* By the way, I'm also looking into the baby's face and it might be something weird with Solomon's old law firm, even though the baby's soul is back. *Um, and then I guess one final text that's like:* Sorry, I never should have dragged you into this mess. \[KRIS\] *Let's see.
