## The Deviled Egg’s Contracts ### The Morax Syndicate The Diner has an informal spoken-word contract with the Morax Syndicate in which they agree to work with the Syndicate as a strategic ally. The Diner pays a routine tithe, which allows them to operate as a supernatural establishment in what is deemed to be Morax territory. Morax is to protect the Diner against other gangs and outside threats. The Diner also agreed to install an anti-warding sticker that prevents MOO’s wards around the Diner from detecting any members of the Morax Syndicate. ### MOO (Marsha’s Faction) Bazul, an imp summoned by Marsha, is bound to the Diner as part of an agreement made in order to keep the Diner in line with MOO standards, after the GreenHaven heist. It observes the Diner and communicates information directly to Marsha. ### MOO (Genevieve’s Faction) MOO is notified whenever a fiend enters or enters a perimeter around the Diner, due to a series of wards established in the days after Halloween. This information is accessible to Marsha and other upper members of MOO, including Genevieve. Initially, Genevieve and Mr. Winters had planned on creating a strict warding spell that completely blocked fiends from entering or exiting the Diner, but this was negotiated and changed. ### The War King On behalf of the Deviled Egg, Solomon wrote and signed a contract with the War King. The Deviled Egg agreed to supply the War King with routine information about the comings-and-goings of Morax Syndicate members, and warnings about any major events or plans of attack. Due to Solomon failing his +Attune roll, this contract has an unknown error or loophole that may be exploited by the War King. ## Individual Contracts ### Solomon: Attention Diversion Solomon can employ magical contract rituals that subconsciously divert a person’s attention away from another person. To perform this ritual, a piece of both people’s DNA (such as a lock of hair) must be used. Originally written at Eden’s request to keep Jonny away from her, but that instance was never activated. Another instance was used to divert Eden and Dmitriy’s attention away from the GreenHaven heist crew. No instance is currently active. ### Solomon: Last Will and Testament Written by Solomon post-GreenHaven heist in crisp blue ink on the page of a notebook, carefully torn out. Unnotarized. Signed, dated, and put it in an envelope in the first drawer of his nightstand. Full text of the will (from [Solomon’s session 27-30 log](https://devilverse.net/wiki/Logs/Chapter+5+-+Holy+War/Session+27-30+-+The+GreenHaven+Heist#Solomon+POV)): > I, Solomon Malphus, declare this to be my last will and testament. > > I revoke all prior wills. > > I leave Shiv Malphus and Julian Keyes the total sum of three cents ($0.03), to be shared jointly in such a manner as they alone shall determine. > > I leave all of my property, real or personal or supernatural, of whatever kind and wherever located, to Ammolirion Price (hereafter “Leslie Fox”). > > I appoint Leslie Fox as the executor of this will. ### Leslie + Solomon: Obedience Full text of the contract: > If Solomon Malphus chooses to instruct Ammolirion Price (hereafter “Leslie Fox” or “Leslie”) in combat technique through one or more sparring sessions, Solomon will receive the following benefit in return: > > For one period of 1 hour and one period of 14 consecutive hours, redeemable once each at Solomon’s discretion, Leslie will be compelled to obey all valid* commands issued by Solomon, according to Leslie’s own understanding and to the greatest extent of his ability. > > This benefit can only be redeemed by a trigger sentence which Solomon must speak aloud: “For the next hour/14 hours, the capable Mr. Leslie Fox is graciously at my service.” After Solomon has spoken the trigger sentence once for each redeemable period and a cumulative 15 hours of obedience has passed, this contract is void. > > Additional terms: > > - Solomon may only redeem this benefit if he and Leslie have completed a sparring session within the previous 7 consecutive days. The start of each session must be verbally acknowledged by both Solomon and Leslie, and the end of each session must be verbally acknowledged by Solomon. > - Leslie knows when the period of compulsion begins and can recall at will how much time remains before it ends. > - Leslie knows, verbatim, what valid* commands have been issued. > > \*A command is valid if it fulfills the following conditions: > > - It is fully, knowingly, and voluntarily (without coercion) issued by Solomon, verbally or in writing, within 1 hour/14 hours of Solomon speaking the trigger sentence in full. > - It will not compel Leslie to sign a contract. > - It will not cause immediate fatal harm to Leslie. > - It will not cause immediate fatal harm to Jonathan Asphodel. Solomon invoked the 1 hour period of obedience in order to interrogate Leslie on his past. The 14 hour period has not yet been invoked. ### Leslie + Belladonna: Hunting Grounds Belladonna allows Leslie to use the Satin Lounge as his succubus hunting grounds on the condition that she gets a cut of his pay as a dancer. As part of their agreement, Belladonna also regularly sends him clients for sex work. ### Jonny + Trevor: Doxxing Solomon Jonny traded information such as Solomon’s address with Trevor, a legal representative from Coin & Keye. Trevor signed a contract that verified that Coin & Keye was in no legal way currently employing or working with Thatch. ### Emil + Pris: Possession (TERMINATED) Written as a means of persuading Pris to peacefully vacate Sandra’s body. Pris will maintain a loose possession of Emil — a voice in his mind incapable of taking complete control — for the next 24 hours, then peacefully evict herself and transfer into another body provided by Morax. Offered by Emil, drafted by Solomon, and reviewed by Leslie to eliminate any time dilation loopholes that could allow Emil to experience a period of time longer than 24 hours in his subconscious. The resulting contract is airtight in our favor. Resolved as planned at the picnic with Morax, where Pris transferred into the body of Eris Kim.
